Rhinoplasty (surgery
of the nose) known as "nose job" is one of
the most commonly performed procedures in the realm
of plastic surgery.
Rhinoplasty is currently
the most popular cosmetic surgery for men. Surgery of
the nose has evolved over the last several decades.
The "ski-slope" nose of the seventies has
long been abandoned and rhinoplasties are now being
performed based on an individual basis.
Instead of operating
on the entire nose "by the book", we are addressing
only the areas that need improvement. Since the nose
is a focal point, centrally located on the face, open
communication of expectations is imperative.
Sometimes nasal surgery
is combined with a chin implant and/or liposuction of
the neck.
There
are a wide range of Rhinoplasty procedures available,
ranging from a simple correction of the tip to a full
Rhinoplasty including correction of the bone, tip, and
sometimes the nostrils.
- Overall reduction in the size of
the nose
- Reshaping of the nasal tip or changing
the angle between the nose and upper lip
- Correcting the bridge of the nose
or removing the dorsal hump
- Narrowing the base of the nose
or nostrils
Facts
About The Surgery...
The appearance of
the nose is a matter of personal perception. Surgical
changes to the nose are permanent.
Computer video imaging
can be performed pre-operatively to show realistic changes
based on each individual's desires and what changes
the facial anatomy allows.
